Just south of Sevierville sits the town of Pigeon Forge. Though the population may be small (6,343 people), this bustling town sees over 10 million visitors every year. It caters to Southern culture and country music and houses Dolly Parton’s Dollywood. While the theme park is the main attraction, Dollywood also includes a water park, a resort and spa, and a themed dinner attraction.
Gatlinburg was founded in the 1800s, and it's been a popular tourist destination since the early 1900s. Situated on the border of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, you'll find many attractions in the charming town of Gatlinburg, including Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies, Ober Gatlinburg Ski Resort (the only one in the state!) and the 8-mile loop of Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community, showcasing the traditional mountain crafts of over 100 artists and craftsmen. From November through February, Gatlinburg’s Winterfest Celebration brings in many visitors who enjoy the holiday lights and festivities and cozy cabin retreats.
